ughhh...

we're having pizza for supper again tonight-at least ryan agreed to it this time instead of suggesting i whip up a something from the nothing in my cupboards. seriously, i don't know how to get grocery shopping done with four kids. and henry has decided he's off naps - at four months olds. which makes for a very cranky baby and a very cranky mom. good thing we have a nurse visiting right after ryan gets home tonight to draw our blood for the life insurance we just upped. i love it when strangers come to my messy house after days like today right in the middle of dinner time. it rocks.

  1. I still love you! I believe you are a fabulous woman & mother!

We have to go grocery shopping ALL together with the boys in one cart and the food in the other. Or one of us goes ALONE. One parent with all the kids is tough to handle most of the time. You aren't the only one who feels that way. Although, a friend of mine has a sister who just had twins like 3 or 4 months ago and she has now 6 kids and ventured out like a trooper not too long ago. She blogged that she got a lot of strange looks from people though!

One of my favorite quotes is:
A hundred years from now, it won't matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove . . . but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.

I don't know who said it.

Apparently I am very chatty tonight! :) Miss you lots!!

  2. Grocery shopping with kids is quite the conundrum. (I just love saying that word). I don't necessarily think it's the number of kids as much as the age of those children. When you have more little kids than room in the cart for them, you have a problem. I have yet to figure it out. MOstly I just end up leaving the grocery store without half of my list because I can't take one more minute of it. Or, I end up with empty cupboards cuz I just can't even bring myself to go to the store at all.

I have gone with all 6 kids, and it wasn't the worst experience. Mainly cuz I have a 12 and 10 year old to help me. But when it's just me and the little ones I want to curl up in a ball and cry. SOrry that I have no great ideas on this, but I just wanted you to know you are not alone!

  3. Haha.. real life stinks sometimes doesn't it? I need to add your blog to my list b/c I keep forgetting about it.
You need to shop when Ryan is home and tell him to get the house cleaned before you get back! (let me know how that goes will ya?)
