friendly guy

my mom just reminded me on the phone the other day of of Jacob's sociable personality, exhibited at a very young age.  the weekend of his 2nd birthday (almost 3 years ago now - UNBELIEVABLE!) we were visiting in wyoming with my parents.  at the time my mom was employed delivering meals for the local senior citizen's center.  she hauled us all down there to show off my beautiful children.  briar, at 4, was polite and charming, and chose to stick fairly close to grandma, sharing a shy smile.  jacob surprised us by boldly sticking out his hand, like a tiny senator in training, and bobbing his head whilst announcing: "hi, i jake" to each and every coworker and senior citizen in the place.  a month later, while riding a wagon around the small town my husband grew up in, he waved like he was in the macy's thanksgiving day parade and called out "hello, i jacob - hi man, i jake!".  i love number 2 - and his "summer face" as we call it.  his little freckles, dotting his nose and cheeks, are just starting to emerge.  a very pleasing combination with his electric baby blues.  hey, which reminds me, i need to upload some current photos.  anyone, how can i do this if i've lost the usb cord to my camera and don't have a disk of the pictures yet? isn't there some little stick thingy i can just plug my memory card into and insert into the computer.  what's the official name?
